Dear Friends,

We face many challenges today.

One is the size of government at all levels; it spends too much and taxes too heavily. We Leavenworth Countians take a back seat to no one when it comes to holding government accountable; for wanting more “bang for the buck.”

It’s that spirit I want to take with me to the Leavenworth County Commission. I’m running for 3rd District commissioner with the same philosophy I had serving four terms as state representative; it’s your money, not the government’s.

I’m for property tax reform. First, I support HB 2036 to exempt the property assessments. Our neighbors are being priced out of their homes simply by choosing to remain there.

Finally, we need to restrict foreign ownership of our land, especially that which is close to installations critical to our national defense.
